Shipping & Returns

Dear customer,

We are currently on vacation until 24 June.

During this time you can still place your order online. All shipments will go out on June 25th.

1. Shipping and Handling

We try to ship your orders within 1-3 work days. Orders are shipped on Monday - Friday (except for holidays). Orders placed Saturday and Sunday will ship out the following Monday (excluding holidays).

1.1 Shipping Rates 

We are currently working on a new overview of the shipping costs. In the meantime please refer to the shipping calculator at checkout, where you can view the shipping options and prices for your region.

Import Duties and Taxes

Please note: Import duties and taxes might apply on your international order. In addition, some orders may experience customs delays. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges or delays and cannot predict what they may be. We suggest that you contact your local customs office for additional information.


Please note that we are currently unable to ship to the UK because of the Brexit regulations. We hope this will change in the future. 


1.2 Local Pickup: The Village Coffee (Utrecht)

We offer Local Pickup as a free option for our local customers. Simply select 'Local Pickup' at Checkout and we will send you an email when it's ready. Bring a copy of your order and an ID to The Village to pick up your order. Orders will be held for 7 days (unless agreed otherwise).

1.3 Packaging

Please note we re-use packaging as much as we can to save our precious natural resources. At the same time we are aware of the value of the unboxing experience, so we try to wrap your order as lovely as possible. 

2. Returns

If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, you may return the items postmarked within 14 calendar days of receipt. 

Please contact The Domestic Botanist before returning any items. You can do so by sending an email to store@thedomesticbotanist.com

Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment, or as merchandise credit. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable. Items must be returned in their original condition (unworn, unwashed, unaltered) with the tags attached. 

Shipments do not include a return label and the return costs are the responsibility of the customer. Your purchase may be returned using any method of your choice, at your expense. We recommend using a trackable and insured service.

We will complete your return once the parcel has arrived at the address above. The estimated turn around time is 14 days from the day that we receive the returned goods.

2.1 Returning A Package

If a returned item is shipped international, please clearly mark the package 'RETURNED GOODS', to avoid any Customs charges. The Domestic Botanist is NOT responsible for any return Customs charges made. Any charges incurred are the responsibility of the customer.

2.2 Unclaimed Packages

For packages that are not cashed at your post office within 14 days, The Domestic Botanist reserves the right to charge you a handling fee to cover return shipping and freight companies' administrative costs.

We work with independent designers who work hard to ensure the highest quality. However sometimes a mistake slips in. If you experience any issues with your item, please let us know and we will do our best to solve this for you.
